Life stages

One dog. Different stages. Different needs.

What's really in the bowl

The label, translated.

  • Protein, 19–32%The building blocks for muscle. Puppies and working dogs get the most, seniors the least.
  • Fat, 7–20%The most concentrated source of energy. More fat means fewer grams a day, which is why our recipes run from 317 to 389 kcal per 100 g.
  • Named meat and fishMany recipes state exactly how much, such as chicken 20% in Chicken & Rice and salmon 25% in Prime Salmon & Rice.
  • Salmon oilA source of omega fatty acids, added to recipes like Puppy, Junior and High Energy.
  • FibrePlant fibre such as beet pulp. Several recipes add inulin, a source of FOS.
  • Calcium and phosphorusAlways declared. The puppy recipes list both, because the balance matters during growth.
  • Vitamins and trace elementsVitamins A, D3 and E, plus copper, zinc, iron and manganese, declared per kg on every recipe.

The full composition, analysis and additives are on every product page, as printed on the bag.

Portions

How much should my dog eat?

Every dog is different, and so is every recipe. The daily amount depends on your dog's weight, age, activity and whether they're neutered, and on the food itself: a richer recipe needs fewer grams.

Our calculator works it out per recipe, and tells you which bag size lasts how long.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which food should I choose for my dog?

Start with your dog's life stage: puppy, junior, adult, senior or active. Our Dog Food Calculator suggests the recipes that fit your dog's weight, age and activity.

When should my puppy switch to junior food?

At around 6 months.

When should I switch to adult food?

Once your dog is fully grown: around 12 months for small and medium breeds, and up to 18 months for large breeds.

When is my dog a senior?

From 7 years.

How much should I feed?

It depends on weight, activity and the recipe, because a richer food needs fewer grams. The calculator gives the grams per day for each food.

How should I store dry food?

Keep the bag closed, cool and dark, and use it within 4 to 6 weeks of opening.

Which bag size should I buy?

The size your dog finishes in 4 to 6 weeks. The calculator flags any bag that would stay open too long.

Is delivery free?

Always, in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.

Do you have food without chicken?

Yes, see food without chicken meat. All of those recipes except Vegetarian do contain chicken or poultry fat, so check the ingredients if your dog has an allergy.
